The ski area in Beitostølen

Beitostølen

Ski profile

Beitostølen Skicenter

This ski center is particularly popular with families, beginners and carving enthusiasts and, thanks to its south-facing location at an altitude of 1,100 meters, offers great views of the mountains and the valley and the opportunity to soak up plenty of sun. Of the 16 slopes, two are illuminated for evening skiing. There is also an amusement park area with numerous activities of all levels of difficulty - including figures with sound installations, a speedometer, a dumpling track, a cross-country ski trail, forest trails and a big jump springboard.

Raudalen Alpincenter

Here at this unique west-facing center you will find untouched and steep mountain sides that offer excitement and greater challenges such as red and black FIS-approved runs, ball runs and off-piste skiing. Therefore, the center is also often used for running various ski races, such as WC in Telemark, just as the venue is also FIS approved for slalom and giant slalom, and in 2018, 4 FIS alpine races were organized for the first time. It's easy to get here by car and parking is free. And by the way, it is the same lift pass that is used at Beitostølen Ski Center.

Offpiste

Especially at Raudalen Alpincenter, there are plenty of opportunities for magnificent off-piste experiences. The untouched mountain terrain in the area is perfect for ski trips for experienced skiers who want to experience a ride right in the middle of the unique Norwegian nature.

Cross-country skiing

Beitostølen offers fantastic cross-country trails in the most beautiful snowy landscape under sparkling blue skies. Here, the trails are laid out in different degrees of difficulty and lengths – in both forest areas, on the mountain and on the high mountain – and they stretch over 320 km inland. Among other things. that's why cross-country skiing is so popular among beginners and more experienced people of all ages.

Snowboard

Beitostølen Skicenter's Fun Park has its own lift and as many as 15 rails for snowboarding and twintip skiing with jumps for both beginners and experienced. Several of the jumps are large and otherwise vary in length, so everyone can participate at the level they want.

Evening skiing

Have you tried evening skiing? It is a unique experience at the Beitostølen Ski Center after dark, with an almost magical atmosphere down the illuminated slopes. Be aware that the temperature can drop significantly after the sun has gone down, so remember to wear warm clothes.

Snowrafting

A very special experience with lots of speed and excitement, where you slide across snow-covered slopes in a rafting boat. The speed varies according to driving conditions and the weight of the boat. The snow rafting course itself is 450 m long, and each boat has room for a maximum of 8 people. The trip lasts 1-2 hours depending on weather conditions and number of participants. A super fun activity out of the ordinary.

Ski holiday for kids

Beitostølen has a children's area with its own lift, children's hill and play area. And the opportunity for a good old-fashioned sleigh ride. Children are also always welcome at the ski school if they want to get even better on the slopes. So don't the little ones sleep really well at night after a good, long day in the snow?
