To the south lies Beitostølen Ski Centre, which is mainly aimed at families and beginners, while to the west is Raudalen Alpine Centre, which, with its pristine natural areas, is mainly suitable for more experienced skiers.

If you are interested in cross-country skiing and snowboarding, there are plenty of opportunities for that too. In other words, there is something for both the little ones and the seniors.

The advantage: there is a common ski pass for both ski centres. In addition, there is also a ski rental shop, a separate children's area, one of Norway's largest ski schools and even a snowkite school, where you are connected to a "kite" (it looks like a mini parachute) on a snowboard.

The town of Beitostølen offers a cozy and lively winter atmosphere with restaurants, cafes, a pub with live music, après-ski - yes, even a microbrewery. The restaurants come in a range of sizes and price ranges, and each one usually has its own specialty, from waffles to pizza to home cooking and 3-course meals using local ingredients. That way, no one has to go to bed hungry.

If you're lacking equipment, there are several places to shop. Skis, snowboards, boots, or a warm sweater if you didn't bring enough clothes. There are also three supermarkets where you can also get freshly baked bread to take away.
