Good conditions for children on ski holidays in Hovden

Hovden is primarily about family-friendly and varied skiing holidays, and with Tusseland it starts small. Tusseland is a beautifully protected alpine area with lots of activities for the little ones. From play figures and roller coasters to rolling hills and gentle slopes that prepare kids for bigger challenges.

Off-piste and fun park for acrobats

Hovden Alpincenter offers numerous options for adventurous snowboarders and skiers. There is free space in the fun park to test your acrobatic skills and to compete with friends. The large area has well-groomed, open slopes with rails and jumps as well as exciting forest slopes with the opportunity to ride off-piste skis. In the evening, the illuminated slope invites you to go skiing under floodlights.

Cross-country skiing - a class of its own

Cross-country skiing is fantastic in Norway, but in Hovden it's a class of its own. In fact, of such high quality that the area serves as a training ground for some of Norway's – and the world's – best cross-country skiers. Most of the well-marked routes are groomed for freestyle and the route network extends over 170 kilometres. The floodlit trail is open daily until 23:00.

Extras at Hovden Alpin Center

The water park in Hovden has water slides, a sauna and lots of facilities for children. And outside, a heated pool awaits with mountain views and the chance to swim under the frosty sky. Or how about a trip with snowshoes or ice skates?

Please note, that wearing a helmet is obligatory in Hovden ski area. Helmet rental for children under the age of 6 is free at Hovden Alpincenter. If the children wear a helmet, skiing is also free for them.
