The fine white sand and the flat coast make Lake Nisser absolutely perfect for a beach holiday with the little ones. With a view of the breathtaking landscape of Telemark, you can relax for hours on the white beach, build impressive sand castles on the water or splash around in the lake. The Straand Sommerland on the lakeshore is a child-friendly play area that also offers exciting activities for the oldest children in the family. Large inflatable trampolines float around the lake, colorful pedal boats are moored to the jetty and on land there is a climbing tower, a beach volleyball court and a summer café.

You can take a lock trip on the M/S Fram between lake Nisser and Vråvatn. From the quay in Straand Sommerland, the vintage boat will take you through Telemark. The captain takes you through the large Småstraum lock and past Vrådal's oldest farm, Roholt. You might also see some of the many beavers that live in the area.

Vrådal offers golf on a newly created 9-hole course surrounded by a unique landscape of forest, mountains and water. When you have finished your round of golf, Vrådal is an excellent area for hiking and cycling. There are many hiking and cycling trails suitable for all ages.
