White slopes and snow as far as the eye can see – the dream of every winter holiday guest! Compared to other European ski destinations, Norway is considered especially snow-reliable, which is why Color Line offers you a ski guarantee for your winter holiday.
Ski guarantee
If there is not enough snow at the destination, travelers will be rebooked to an alternative area free of charge and at short notice. The period covered by the ski guarantee may vary depending on the destination.

How the ski guarantee works
The ski guarantee takes effect 48 hours before departure from Germany. To make use of the guarantee, guests are required to check the snow conditions at their chosen destination in advance – for example via skiinfo.no.
Please note
If the ski guarantee is not met, you are required to contact Color Line within 48 hours, during the customer service center’s opening hours.*
If it can be assumed that the ski guarantee for a destination cannot be fulfilled, Color Line will – as far as possible – offer a stay at an alternative destination. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a comparable crossing, accommodation, or location within the ski area, but we will of course make every effort to find the best possible alternative for you. If you choose a more expensive trip, you will be required to pay the price difference. Color Line will refund the difference if a cheaper trip is selected. If no suitable alternative can be found, the amount paid will be refunded.
* Guests staying over Christmas with departure on 27 December may contact Color Line on 24 December.
The ski guarantee does not cover
- Sudden technical problems in the ski area
- Weather changes at or near the ski resort – such as storms, ice storms, etc. – occurring within 48 hours before/during departure or during the stay
- Color Line assumes no responsibility for snow quality, the condition or difficulty of the slopes, or their length and location
- Services purchased locally, such as lift passes, ski school, ski rental, etc. – please contact the respective destination directly regarding these
Cross-country skiing
Some destinations offer a ski guarantee for both alpine and cross-country skiing. The same conditions apply for triggering the guarantee.
