Dog Sledding
There’s nothing quite like gliding across the snow with a team of friendly huskies in front of your sled. Here, you’ll find peace and time to enjoy Hemsedal’s beautiful winter landscape—far from crowds and noise, and fully immersed in nature. You don’t need any previous experience to try it, and both children and adults can take part, making it a great activity if you’re visiting Hemsedal as a family. If you’ve never been dog sledding before, give it a try—you won’t regret it.
On a Snowmobile Across the Snow
In Hemsedal, there are more ways to speed across the snow than just dog sledding and skiing. You can also try driving a snowmobile. You must be 16 years old, but once that’s in place, you can join a guided mini‑safari or ride on the dedicated track. The experience lasts about half an hour and takes place in beautiful surroundings.
Sledding
And you might be thinking this is only for the little ones—but that’s where you’d be wrong. The sledding hills in Hemsedal are nothing like the small, modest ones we know from Denmark. They are long—some almost 5 km!—and you can get serious speed. In fact, some runs are more or less “off‑limits” for children, at least for those under 10. But if you are a smaller adventurer who loves sledding, there are also great options for you during your ski holiday in Hemsedal.
